Fluorescent ink is water based, consisting of a type of pigments that have the ability to absorb ultraviolet energy and to re-emit it within the visible spectrum in the dark
Have you used DTF fluorescent ink before? If not, then you need to know some useful facts about DTF fluorescent:
- Fluorescent ink is generally thinner than regular DTF ink
- To use fluorescent DTF ink, you need a dedicated printer as you can't use the same printer that you are using for regular DTF ink (you cannot mix the inks).
- Fluorescent inks are semi-transparent, so their colour strength is weaker than ordinary ink
- The best way to attain bright colours using fluorescent ink is to use the 'Spot Colour Printing' technique. You can use spot colour in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat to attain each colour separately in a separate layer. This will make the colour extremely precise - better than using the CMYK method. There are a lot of videos on the internet explaining how to use this technology.
